Set in the yr 3100 A.D., Merchants of Brooklyn tells the story of a world where global warming and rising s levels have forced the inhabitants of New York to rebuild the city on top of existing structures. Upper-class society and law enforcement abandon the lower portions of the city, but with no low-class laborers to perform menial tasks for the rich, the Brooklyn Institute of Technology must use its cloning prowess to crte an army of sturdy Nnderthal workers. Unfortunately, too many workers were commissioned, and the excess Nnderthals were shipped to the dregs of the new city, where a mob group known as the Merchants of Brooklyn began pitting the brutes against one another in high-stakes fights to the dth. Gamers take on the role of one such fighter, an elite warrior whose arm was sawed off and replaced with a biomechanical wpon. His goals are simple: fight his way out from under the city, free his Nnderthal brothers, and take over the entire metropolitan ar.
